International Coalition for Responsible Tourism is composed now by experts & professionnals of tourism industry, 145 NGO, associations & professionals in 52 countries, committed in responsible tourism and a comittee composed by experts in one of the 3 pillars of the Sustainable Development (economic & fair, social & culture, ecology & biodiversity).
The main aim of the International Coalition is to inform, to make people sensitive, to convince, to denounce and mobilise the main actors in tourism field (professionnals, governments, national & international NGO's) to the interest of the concept of Responsible Tourism.
Responsible Tourism is the application of the concept of Sustainable Development applied on Tourism Industry. Thus, Responsible Tourism is all kind of tourist development and activities which respects and preserves on long term natural, cultural & social ressources and contribute in a positive and fair way to the development and the capacity building of people who live, work and are accomodated in those spaces.
The 6th edition of the World Responsible Tourism Day will be held on June 2nd 2012.
In Paris (France), the International Coalition will organized a professional workshop under the topic:
"Sustainable Tourism faced to Climate Change: through a relocalisation of tourism markets?"
A country will be at the honor place to debate about the problems of climate change & sustainable tourism on those territories.
The World Day will be celebrate all around the world by stakeholders involved to sustainable tourism.
